Why Was I Asked to Verify My Account?
If you've requested a withdrawal and received a message that additional verification is required, don't worry — this is a routine security measure and does not mean there's a problem with your account.
How Cointiply decides
Every withdrawal goes through an automatic security review. The review looks at a range of signals and decides whether any extra confirmation is needed before the payment is processed. Most withdrawals pass with no extra steps at all.
Common reasons verification is requested
You may be asked to verify when one or more of these apply:
- A larger-than-usual withdrawal. Bigger amounts relative to your account history naturally get a closer look.
- A new wallet address. Withdrawing to an address you added recently is one of the most common triggers — this protects you if someone else gets into your account and tries to redirect your Coins.
- A newer account. Accounts without an established payout history are reviewed more carefully than long-time users.
- Unusual activity patterns. Sudden changes in how an account earns or behaves can prompt a check.
- New device or location. Signing in from somewhere new before withdrawing can add a quick confirmation step.
Trusted users verify less
The system rewards good history. If you've been with Cointiply for a while and have completed successful withdrawals, you'll be asked to verify less often — and when you are, the steps are usually lighter (for example, just a phone confirmation instead of a full ID check).
What you'll be asked to do
The exact steps depend on the review. From lightest to most thorough:
- Email confirmation — click a link we send to your registered email.
- Phone verification — confirm a number with an SMS code.
- Selfie verification — a photo of you holding a short handwritten note.
- ID document — a photo of your government-issued ID.
- Secure identity check — a guided ID/address/liveness check in a secure window.
You'll only see the steps that apply to you, presented one at a time with instructions.
Is my withdrawal safe while I verify?
Yes. Your withdrawal is held — not cancelled — while verification is pending. You have 30 days to complete the steps. If you don't, the withdrawal is cancelled and your Coins are returned to your balance automatically, so nothing is ever lost.
