Verification and Your Withdrawal: What Happens When

This article walks through the full timeline of a withdrawal that needs verification, so you know exactly where you are in the process and what happens next.

1. You request a withdrawal

You request a withdrawal from your account as usual. Your Coins are set aside for the payment immediately.

2. (Sometimes) Email approval first

If you're withdrawing from a new device or to a recently added wallet address, we first send a confirmation email. Click the link and enter the code shown to approve the withdrawal. This is a separate, quicker check that protects you if someone else accesses your account.

3. Security review

After any email approval, the withdrawal goes through an automatic security review. Most withdrawals pass with no further steps. If verification is needed, you'll know right away:

  • Email: "Additional Verification Required" with a Complete Verification button.
  • Banner: a notice on your dashboard and payments pages.
  • Payment history: the withdrawal shows a "Verification Required" status with a button to start.

4. You complete the steps

Click through to your verification page. Steps are shown one at a time — phone, selfie, ID, or a secure Persona check, depending on what the review requires. Each step has clear instructions.

Tip: If you have multiple pending withdrawals that need verification, you'll be sent to a single account verification page instead — complete the steps once and all of your pending withdrawals are released together.

5. Verification complete

When every step passes you'll see a success screen, and:

  • Your withdrawal moves into the normal processing queue — typically processed within 24–48 hours.
  • You receive a "Verification Complete" email.
  • You can track the payment on your payment history page as usual.

The 30-day deadline

You have 30 days from the verification request to finish the steps. If the deadline passes:

  • The withdrawal is cancelled — not lost.
  • Your Coins are automatically refunded to your account balance.
  • You can request a new withdrawal whenever you're ready.

Payments under review

In rare cases a withdrawal may be placed on a temporary hold for review instead of (or in addition to) verification. Holds are reviewed automatically within the stated period — no action is needed from you. If you have questions about a held payment, contact support.
