How to Verify Your Phone Number

Phone verification is the most common verification step on Cointiply. It takes about a minute: you enter your phone number, we text you a 6-digit code, and you type it in. Done.

Step by step

  1. Open your verification page (use the link in your verification email, or the banner on your payments page).
  2. On the Phone Verification step, enter your phone number in international format, including your country code — for example +1 for the US/Canada or +44 for the UK. If you forget the country code, the page will suggest the right one for your region with a one-click button.
  3. Tap Send Code. We'll text a 6-digit code to your phone.
  4. Enter the code and submit. That's it — the step turns green and you move on to any remaining steps (or you're done).

Important rules

  • VOIP numbers are not accepted. Numbers from internet-phone services (Google Voice, TextNow, Skype numbers, etc.) can't be used. Please use a real mobile number.
  • Your phone's country should match your account region. If your number is from a different country than your account is registered in, you'll see a message with a link to update your account region first.
  • One account per phone number. A phone number can only be linked to one Cointiply account. If you see "This phone number is already linked to another account," you'll need to use a different number.

Didn't get the code?

  • Give it a minute — SMS delivery can occasionally be slow.
  • Check that the number you entered is correct, including the country code.
  • Use the Resend Code button (there's a short cooldown between sends).
  • If you request codes too quickly, you may see a brief "try again in…" countdown. Just wait it out and try again.

Entered the wrong code?

You get a few attempts per code. If you run out, simply request a new code and try again. The page tells you how many attempts remain.

How long does it last?

Once verified, your phone number stays verified for about 6 months. After that, a future withdrawal may ask you to confirm it again — same quick process.
